Lazer Lamps has a long history of not just meeting but exceeding the demanding needs of the motorsport market. 2022 saw the launch of our Carbon-6 (Gen3), and the response throughout the motorsport community since has been incredible, especially in the rally sector.  However, it was clear that our journey should not stop there. The call for more versatile solutions for the extreme off-road and endurance racing applications was loud and clear. In response, we returned to the drawing board armed with your invaluable feedback and our dedication to innovation. Today, we are proud to present the culmination of this effort: the latest additions to our Gen3 Carbon Series, the Carbon-2 & Carbon-4.

 

Our development of the Carbon-2 and Carbon-4 embodies our commitment to delivering exceptional performance through precision engineering and technical finesse. The significance of light output, particularly for teams navigating through challenging terrains or during night stages, cannot be overstated. Both variations are designed to provide powerful illumination while maintaining a lightweight design, crucial for enhancing vehicle performance and agility. Their unparalleled light output-to-weight ratio truly sets these lights apart, especially in rally and high-speed racing contexts where efficiency is paramount and every ounce can make a difference. For instance, the Carbon-2 is a marvel in itself, weighing in at just 204 grams.

 

 

Versatility lies at the heart of the Carbon-2 and Carbon-4's design; with options for both 'Spot' and 'Drive' beam patterns. The ‘Drive’ beam offers a 60-degree spread, ideal for comprehensive road coverage, whereas the 'Spot' beam ensures long-range visibility. The Carbon-4 Spot delivers 1 lux to 675m (per lamp) with a 32-degree spread, while the Carbon-2 Spot delivers 1 lux to 454m. Furthermore, the 'High Beam' mode provides maximum visibility and the 'Dip / Low Beam' mode is designed to mitigate glare in dust, fog, or heavy rain, allowing both models to adapt to perform in any conditions. The Carbon-4 stands out with its 24 premium LEDs, emitting 6,240 raw lumens that can be boosted by 120% with PWM signal application, and the Carbon-2, with 12 LEDs, delivers a robust 3,120 raw lumens.

 

Ease of installation is a critical feature, with a threaded side insert for side-mounting, enabling seamless integration across a variety of vehicles. Additionally, the option for front-fixing is available, which allows for flush mounting into a bumper or headlamp unit. The front-fix solutions come complete with the necessary hardware for a secure and adjustable installation, and support for choosing the correct fit for your vehicle can also be provided via dimension diagrams with basic CAD data available on request. Both the side and front-fix models incorporate cutting-edge electronic design, vacuum-metallised optics, and a CAE-optimised heatsink for efficient light delivery and thermal management. Dynamic Drive Modulation ensures durability by preventing damage under extreme conditions. These systems are integrated to ensure consistent and reliable performance throughout extended race durations where endurance is key.

These lights are built to adapt to the unpredictability of the night rally stages at Monte Carlo, dust storms at the Dakar Rally, or the unwavering challenges of endurance races such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The invaluable insights gained from years of our lights excelling at these iconic motorsport events have directly informed the cutting-edge innovation and refined expertise that underpin the development of our latest Carbon Series lights.
