Full Lazer Product Reviews
Sentinel 9” Elite | The Lazer Sentinel 9 Elite light offers the most uniform light distribution in its range, providing just the right amount of light in the right place. While the light works well even at low mounting heights, its optics truly shine when installed on the roofs of trucks. At a mounting height of around 3 metres, it leaves the immediate area undisturbed, but at a distance of 50 metres, there is ample light extending beyond the roadside. At medium and long distances, the beam width and range are top-tier, delivering an exceptionally even spread of light across the entire area. The overall experience is very pleasant.
Triple-R 1250 Elite+ | The Lazer Triple-R 1250 Elite+ is undoubtedly the top choice in terms of power and features. Even when mounted high on the roof, its optics perform brilliantly. While the light doesn't illuminate directly in front of the vehicle, it provides excellent coverage of the nearby area, ensuring the roadside isn't left in darkness. The beam pattern is optimised exceptionally well, and when aimed correctly, it allows for the use of maximum power and range in low-traffic conditions. In heavier traffic, the yellow light mode for bad weather can be useful, as it significantly reduces the range, preventing oncoming drivers from being dazzled from a long distance. The system includes four light modes and is overall a very pleasant experience.
Linear 48 Elite | An incredible beam and power in such a compact body. The optical design is truly well-executed. If you're looking for a discreet, streamlined, and aerodynamic auxiliary light without compromising on quality, performance, or beam pattern, this is an excellent choice.
Triple-R 24 Elite+ |
The Lazer Triple-R 24 Elite+ represents a significant upgrade in the Triple-R light series. With the rapid advancement of lighting technology, Lazer has once again introduced innovative features. This model includes four different lighting modes: E-approved efficiency optimised for road use, maximum white light, a combined maximum white and yellow light, and a yellow-only light mode specifically designed for snowy and foggy conditions. The yellow light is intended to enhance visibility in snowfall, snow dust, and fog, helping the driver better distinguish the contours of the road surface. The lighting modes can be easily controlled from inside the vehicle using the supplied wiring harness with a switch, allowing for quick adjustments to the light output depending on traffic conditions. The light’s smooth beam pattern covers a wide field of vision and reaches far ahead, especially when using the combined white and yellow light. The lamp can be mounted either high or low, but the feature aimed at snowy roads works best when mounted lower, preventing an obstructive "Star Wars" light wall effect in snowy or foggy conditions. Like other lights in the Triple-R series, this model comes with sliding feet as standard, making installation quick and effortless. End-mounting brackets are also available. The Plus+ version is highly recommended due to its versatile features. The E-approved power reference value is 40 (2x20), and its colour temperature is 5000K. |

T24 Evolution |
The Lazer T24 stands out in many ways. It's an excellent light bar, particularly when additional illumination is needed at close distances. Although cone optics are less commonly used these days, they are a key strength of this light. The combination of such optics with a similar beam pattern is rare, making this light unique. The optical design produces an immense amount of light, illuminating both the nearby area broadly and reaching far ahead. If you need lighting for close distances, the ST and T series lights are an excellent choice. The design of the housing is straight, and it comes with extremely sturdy and easily adjustable sliding brackets, which can be mounted on either the top or bottom of the housing. However, it's important to note that this light is not road-legal. The colour temperature of the light is 5000K. |

Sentinel 9” Elite |
The Lazer Sentinel 9" Elite – The Best. The Sentinel series lights are ready to use straight out of the box and are easy to install. The mounting bracket is one of the sturdiest and most robust among round auxiliary lights, and its design fits seamlessly with the housing. The bracket doesn't require excessive installation depth and doesn't unnecessarily raise the light. The light performs excellently at both normal and higher mounting heights. The optics are superbly designed, and the reflector surfaces are flawless and completely smooth – an area where many competitors still need improvement if they wish to match the same level of quality. Installers will appreciate a light that's ready to mount right out of the box. Another significant advantage is the well-designed cable entry on the back of the housing, which is angled downward. This design minimises the space required for installation. The light's warm 5000K colour tone is a signature feature of Lazer, and the light distribution of the optics is nearly perfect. In the road-legal mode, the light has a reference number of 20, and it also includes a Boost mode, which provides full light output. There are two versions available in the Sentinel series: Elite and Standard. The Elite version offers higher light output. Both versions have a similar range for one lux, but the Elite version provides a wider beam pattern at close and medium distances. The Standard version’s beam pattern is not narrow, but the Elite version delivers an especially rich and broad beam. |

Sentinel 7” Elite |
Just like the 9" version, the 7" Sentinel is also ready for installation right out of the box. The mounting bracket is one of the sturdiest and most robust among round auxiliary lights, and its design integrates perfectly with the housing. The bracket doesn’t require unnecessary installation depth and doesn’t raise the light unnecessarily. The optics are exceptionally well-designed, with flawless and perfectly smooth reflector surfaces, placing this light in a high-quality category. Many manufacturers still have room for improvement in this area if they want to compete at the same level of quality. The cable entry is positioned on the back of the housing and angled downward, minimising the space needed for installation. The beam pattern is characteristic of the Sentinel series: very wide and evenly distributed, producing soft and pleasant light. The colour temperature is Lazer's signature warm 5000K, offering comfortable and balanced lighting. The optics provide nearly perfect light distribution, ensuring illumination exactly where it's needed. In road-legal mode, the light has a reference value of 17.5, and it also features a Boost mode that provides full light output. The Sentinel series offers two versions: Elite and Standard. The Elite version has more powerful light output. Both versions have a similar one-lux range, but the Elite version has a wider beam pattern at close and medium distances. While the Standard version’s beam pattern is not narrow, the Elite version delivers an especially rich and broad light spread. |

Linear 18 Elite+ |
The Lazer Linear 18 Elite+ is a top-tier version of the Linear series, offering exceptional features for demanding drivers who require versatile and powerful lighting in various conditions. This light is road-legal and comes with several lighting modes: full-power white light, a combination of white and yellow at full power, and yellow-only mode, specifically designed for snowy conditions. The yellow light enhances visibility in snowfall, snow dust, and fog, helping to clearly outline the contours of the road surface. In yellow snow mode, the beam pattern shifts, featuring a gap in the driver's field of vision to prevent the distracting "Star Wars" style white light wall that can form in snow or foggy conditions. All lighting modes can be conveniently controlled from inside the vehicle, thanks to the included wiring harness and switches, allowing for quick adjustments on the go as driving conditions change. The Linear series' signature wide and soft beam pattern is combined in this version with a long range, meeting the needs of even the most demanding drivers. The reference number for this light is 27.5, and the white light has a colour temperature of 5000K, ensuring a balanced and comfortable driving experience. The light comes equipped with sleek yet robust stainless steel end brackets, ensuring reliable and durable installation. Additionally, there are optional adjustable-width lower mounting brackets available, providing further installation flexibility. The housing in the Linear series features a straight design. The Lazer Linear 18 Elite+ is an excellent choice for drivers looking for a versatile and powerful auxiliary light for demanding driving conditions. |

Linear 18 Elite |
The Lazer Linear 18 Elite is a longer version of the popular 12 Elite, offering the same outstanding features but with significantly more power. This light is a perfect choice for those seeking an auxiliary light with a wide beam pattern, long range, and broad road illumination. The 5000K colour temperature ensures a comfortable driving experience in all conditions. The Linear 18 Elite meets the needs of many drivers by combining excellent light output with a practical design. It comes equipped with sleek yet robust stainless steel end brackets, providing reliable and durable installation. Additionally, adjustable-width lower mounting brackets are available as an optional accessory, further enhancing installation possibilities. This light is an excellent choice, and it's also available in a version with position lights. The Linear 18 Elite features a straight housing and has a standard reference number of 2x25 (50), making it a highly powerful auxiliary light for various applications. The light also features a dual-power function, which allows you to lower the output with a separately purchased boost cap. This reduces the reference number to 2x10 (20), offering a lower approved power level. ST12 Evolution |
The "Forgotten Model." Lazer's ST-Evo series products have somewhat fallen into the shadow of other Lazer models, but testing shows that, for example, the ST 12 Evo is an excellent choice for adding light to the sides of the road right in front of the vehicle without sacrificing range. The optical design of this light differs from other Lazer auxiliary lights, and this distinctiveness is a clear strength of the ST 12 Evo. The package includes sturdy, easily adjustable feet that attach to a sliding rail, simplifying installation and ensuring a secure fit. Adjusting the height is also effortless. The light has a reference number of 25 and a colour temperature of 5000K, providing balanced and powerful illumination. The Lazer ST-Evo series definitely deserves more attention, especially for those who value a wide beam pattern and good range. |

Linear 18 Elite I-LBA |
The Lazer Linear 18 Elite I-LBA is a unique auxiliary light equipped with an innovative low-beam assist function—an exclusive feature currently not offered by other manufacturers. This light is an excellent choice, especially for vehicles with weak low beams. The low-beam assist provides effective and wide illumination for close-range areas, significantly enhancing driving comfort and safety. The high-beam pattern, typical of the Linear series, is wide and smooth, with a range that meets the needs of many drivers. The light comes with a wiring harness that includes two switches: one controlling the entire light and the other managing the low-beam function. The low-beam assist feature is not road-legal, but the high-beam function is approved with a reference value of 17.5 when the boost mode is turned off. Boost mode offers extra power but is not road-legal. The low-beam function is automatic: it activates when the high beams are switched on, provided the low-beam switch is engaged. The low-beam blocks turn on and off independently on the left and right sides. For instance, when an oncoming vehicle approaches, the light's sensor detects it and turns off the left-side low beam to prevent glare. One minor drawback is that the light may sometimes react sensitively to roadside reflector posts, especially those with highly reflective surfaces. However, despite this, the low-beam assist is an excellent innovation that improves visibility in close-range areas when the high beams are off. The light is equipped with sleek yet very sturdy stainless steel end brackets, ensuring reliable and durable installation. Additionally, adjustable-width lower mounting brackets are available as an optional accessory, increasing installation flexibility. The housing is straight, and the light has a colour temperature of 5000K. |

Triple-R 1000 Elite I-LBA |
The Lazer Triple-R 1000 Elite I-LBA brings the innovative low-beam assist feature, functioning similarly to the Linear 18 Elite I-LBA model. This feature is ideal for vehicles with inadequate low beams, as the low-beam assist provides wide and effective close-range illumination. The Triple-R 1000 Elite I-LBA features the characteristic wide and lower beam pattern of the Elite version, differing from the narrower and higher beam of the standard Triple-R models. This Elite version is specifically designed for mid-height installations, offering excellent light output that spreads both wide and far. The light comes with a wiring harness featuring two switches: one to control the entire light and another to manage the low-beam function. The low-beam assist is not road-legal, but the high-beam mode is approved for road use at reduced power, with a reference value of 30. The light also has a boost mode, which increases output but is not road-legal. The low-beam function is automatic: it activates when the high beams are on and the low-beam switch is engaged. The low-beam blocks turn on and off automatically on the left and right sides. For example, when an oncoming vehicle is detected, the sensor turns off the left-side low beam just before passing to prevent glare. A minor downside is that the light can sometimes react sensitively to roadside reflector posts, especially if they have strong reflectors. Despite this, the low-beam assist is an excellent innovation that enhances visibility in close-range areas when the high beams are off. The package includes easy-to-install and extremely sturdy sliding feet, which can be mounted on the top or bottom of the light. Height adjustment is simple, and end brackets are available as an optional accessory. The housing is straight, and the color temperature is 5000K. |

Triple-R 1000 Beacon |
The Triple-R 1000 Standard with beacon / warning lights offers a focused beam that reaches far distances, making it ideal for slightly higher mounting heights, though it can also be used above a licence plate. At very low mounting heights, the light may overly illuminate the close range, so the recommended mounting height for the Triple-R Standard range is medium to high positions. It’s important to note that the Triple-R series comes in several versions. The Elite versions feature a completely different beam pattern, with a wider and lower spread and a powerful spot in the centre for long-range illumination. Be sure to carefully select the model that best suits your needs. Triple-R series lights come standard with sliding feet, making installation quick and secure. End-mount brackets are also available as an optional accessory. This auxiliary light also includes a legal warning beacon function and a Boost mode that increases light output. With the road-legal setting, the reference number is 12.5, and the colour temperature is 5000K, providing balanced and clear lighting. |

Triple-R 1250 Elite + |
The Lazer Triple-R 1250 Elite+ is an impressive addition to the Triple-R series. With rapid advancements in auxiliary lighting, Lazer has once again introduced new features. This model offers four distinct lighting modes: road-legal power, full white power, a combination of white and yellow power, and yellow-only mode specifically designed for snowy conditions. The yellow light enhances visibility in snow, snow dust, and fog, helping to better define the contours of the road surface. All lighting modes can be conveniently controlled from inside the vehicle with the included wiring harness and switches, allowing for easy adjustments while driving. The beam pattern is wide and smooth, but it also reaches very far, especially when using the combined white and yellow power. The light can be mounted either low or high, but the feature designed for snowy conditions works best when mounted lower. This creates a gap in the driver's field of view, preventing the distracting "Star Wars" style white wall effect in snow or fog. Like other Triple-R series lights, this model comes standard with sliding feet, making installation quick and simple. End-mount brackets are also available as an optional accessory. The Lazer Plus+ version is highly recommended for its versatile features and is undoubtedly among the top options in the auxiliary lighting market today. With road-legal power, the reference number is 20, and the color temperature is 5000K. |

Jussinmaki Testing Overview
‘We conducted a highly interesting Test of additional lights, focusing on their full power output. In many similar tests, the lights can give a misleading impression because some lamps use a so-called "boost function," which temporarily increases the light output but is usually not an E-approved setting for road use. Therefore, lights without the ability to boost the power, which are approved for a single light output, often appear underwhelming in tests compared to boosted lights running in a restricted power mode. In this test, we aim to highlight the true maximum capacity of the lights to illuminate the road.
We believe it's essential to use the actual number of lights and installation heights to see how the light output and beam patterns change at different heights. This makes it easier to plan which number and type of light is suitable for different heights. We selected the right lights from Jussinmäki.net’s range for various needs and price points. We didn't use the entire selection but chose products that work well for each price category. The test is designed so that every additional light is an excellent product within its price range. Therefore, the inclusion of each product has been carefully considered.
In addition to light output and beam pattern, the review also focuses on the structure and installability of the lights. There are differences between the lights: for example, many round lights come with pre-attached mounting brackets, speeding up installation. On the other hand, some round lights come in parts, which can add considerable time during professional installations before they can be mounted. Some manufacturers have taken ease of installation a step further. Lazer deserves special mention for considering this in their round Sentinel lights, which made the installation process much smoother.
We believe these test results will help in making the right choices regarding additional lights. The needs for the number and power of extra lights vary, and with these tests, we aim to assist in the decision-making process.'
